Geotechnical Investigations, Design Support, and CM/CQA Services for Unit 2, Phases 3-2 and 4 Expansion – The project involved 2.5 million cu. yds. of excavation and buttress construction and construction of 16 acres of composite side slope and canyon bottom liner. Our scope included:
CM/CQA Services for Unit 2, Phase 5-1 Expansion – AES performed CM and CQA services for the construction of 7 acres of composite side slope and 4 acres of base liner for Unit 2, Phase 5-1 expansion involving 188,000 cu. yds. of excavation and buttress construction and 1.0 million sf of geosynthetics. AES also prepared an as-built CQA report for submittal to regulatory agencies.
AES earned commendations from the client for our successful execution of these projects:
“AES has been providing engineering services, they have completed over a dozen projects on a number of our landfills, including geotechnical studies, design of composite liners, preparing closure plans, preparing plans and specifications for liners and closure projects and providing CM and CQA services for liner and final covers. From my personal experience and experience of my staff interfacing with AES Project Managers and their field staff, including Kris Khilnani, Dr. Suji Somasundaram, Grant Miller and Michael Raub, we have found their performance to be technically sound, responsive and professional. Their project deliverables are high quality and have been submitted on schedule.”
